Good evening and welcome to the Worldview Report.

Leading off tonight, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said Sunday that flash flooding in the state has led to the deaths of at least eight people, with fatalities expected to increase as rescue efforts continue.

Parts of Kentucky and Tennessee received up to 6 inches of rain during weekend storms, causing streams to swell and areas to flood. A levee failed in one Tennessee community on Saturday afternoon, causing a flash flood to occur.

Ahead of his Sunday press conference, Beshear said: "Kentucky, we are seeing dangerous and life-threatening conditions across the state, and things are only going to get tougher due to widespread flooding and incoming weather. Please stay alert and check on your neighbors. We will get through this together."

President Donald Trump declared a state of emergency in Kentucky and ordered federal assistance to bolster rescue efforts. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has also been in contact with Beshear to coordinate Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) assistance and efforts.

Around 14,000 Kentuckians, primarily in the southeast of the state, experienced power outages ahead of the storm.

The war on ordinary American appliances, dishwashers, toilets, washing machines, even light bulbs, appears to be over.

So explains President Donald Trump, wo stated in a post to Truth Social last week:

"I am hereby instructing Secretary Lee Zeldin to immediately go back to my Environmental Orders, which were terminated by Crooked Joe Biden, on Water Standards and Flow pertaining to SINKS, SHOWERS, TOILETS, WASHING MACHINES, DISHWASHERS, etc., and to likewise go back to the common-sense standards on LIGHT BULBS, that were put in place by the Trump Administration, but terminated by Crooked Joe. I look forward to signing these Orders. THANK YOU!”

As noted by World Net Daily, leftists have, in recent years, insisted on imposing drastic new standards for a variety of common household helps, critics say, to the point that washing machines no longer cleaned clothes with one cycle, toilets had to be flushed several times, and dishwashers had to run for hours to complete that chore.

Lee Zeldin is his chief of the Environmental Protection Agency, and now is in a position to erase extreme demands that had been imposed under the Joe Biden regime.

Biden's vast repertoire of green energy demands also included efficiency demands for gas stoves and water heaters that effectively banned many products.

The move is the latest by Trump, since he returned to the White House, to clean up the mess created by the regulations.

He's also moved to scrap Biden's fuel economy standards for vehicles and stopped funding for Biden's electric car agenda, including a charging station network that was given billions and left behind only a handful of units.

Trump also, by signing an executive order, sought to unleash the “affordable and reliable energy and natural resources” in America, to make it an energy powerhouse, and even exporter.

America’s farmlands are awash in agricultural chemicals and it’s only going to get worse in the near future if a raft of proposed legislation is any indication.

Glyphosates, derived from chemical pesticides and herbicides such as Roundup, formerly sold by Monsanto and now owned by the multinational agrichemical company Bayer, is one of the easier problems to solve on the contamination front in that it mercifully only remains in plant tissues for about a decade.

According to an article in Forest Ecology and Management:

“We found that (glyphosate) residues persisted for up to 12 years in some tissue types, and that root tissues generally retained glyphosate residues longer than shoot tissue types.”

Iowa Senate Study Bill 1051, one example out of dozens currently proposed in various state legislatures, would make it easier for big agri-chemical corporations to get away with murder by poison:

The bill provides for a defense from civil liability associated with the use of pesticides that are registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. According to this bill, “The label is sufficient to satisfy any requirements for a warning or label under Code Chapter 206… or any other common law duty to warn.”

So, slap a warning label that nobody is going to read onto a product and you’re good to go. You can keep on poisoning Americans at will. 

Ben Bartee writes, in an article for Armageddon Prose:

“My best guess, and my hope, is that these corporations are threatened, for the first time perhaps ever, by an ascendent RFK Jr. Make America Healthy Again regulatory machine that appears, at least in rhetoric, to be hostile to the forces that have sickened and killed Americans with impunity for decades.”

LifeNews reports that Vice President JD Vance used a speech addressing European leaders at the Munich Security Conference in Germany on Friday to slam Europe for violating the free speech and religious rights of pro-life Christians, among others.

He said:

“When I look at Europe today, it’s sometimes not so clear what happened to some of the Cold War’s winners. And perhaps most concerningly, I look to our very dear friends, the United Kingdom, where the backslide away from conscience rights has placed the basic liberties of religious Britons, in particular, in the crosshairs.”

Vance brought up the case of 51-year-old Adam Smith-Connor, who was arrested for praying outside an abortion center.

Vance said:

“After British law enforcement spotted him and demanded to know what he was praying for, Adam replied simply, it was on behalf of the unborn son he and his former girlfriend had aborted years before.”

As LifeNews extensively reported, Smith-Connor was found guilty of praying silently. This is the first conviction for a thought crime in the UK.

Smith-Connor stood still and silent on the public street for a few minutes before being approached by so-called community safety officers, handcuffed and hauled off to prison.

It turns out Mr. Smith-Connor was not alone.

In vindication of U.S. Vice President JD Vance’s warnings of encroaching authoritarianism in Britain and Europe, a report has found that hundreds of British citizens have been charged under the 2023 Online Safety Act.

According to Crown Prosecution Service data obtained by The Telegraph in a Freedom of Information request, 292 people in Britain have been charged with speech crimes under the Online Safety Act passed into law by Britain’s previous Conservative government.

23 people were charged for what’s called illegal false communications, often referred to as fake news. The controversial clause banned the spreading of so-called disinformation that could lead to “non-trivial psychological or physical harm.” A conviction under the legislation comes with a maximum of 51 weeks in prison.

The report found several were charged with the offense following the mass stabbing attack at a children’s Taylor Swift dance party for spreading claims online that the attacker was a Muslim migrant.

After initial silence from police in the aftermath of the attack that left three young girls dead, it was later revealed that the attacker, Axel Rudakubana, had been born in the UK to migrant parents from Rwanda and had possession of Islamist jihadist materials.

There is mounting concern that some Americans forced out of the military over Joe Biden’s Covid shot mandate may not be reinstated with back pay, as promised by the Trump administration. 

On February 7, the Department of Defense released a memorandum for military departments with a subject line that read: Correction of Military Records for Service Members Involuntarily Separated for Refusal to Comply with Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination Requirements.

The Gateway Pundit spoke to John Frankman about the memo. The former Army captain and Special Forces Green Beret had his 8-year active-duty career cut short as a result of the now rescinded 2021 shot mandate.

He quickly pointed out:

“Although the memo robustly addresses those kicked out, it does not provide adequate reparation for those who voluntarily separated.”

Bradley Miller, a former U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, agreed. In October 2021, he was relieved of his battalion command within the 101st Airborne Division for refusing the COVID shot after 19 years of service.

He noted:

“The memo explicitly states that the offer of reinstatement with back pay only applies to those who were involuntarily separated. This process for reinstatement does not offer back pay to the much larger group that was so-called voluntarily separated.”

The word “voluntary” is “problematic” for Frankman and Miller, and likely many more thousands of former US military personnel. 

Miller stated: “For those who left the military over the COVID-19 shot mandate, did they really leave voluntarily? No, I think the argument can be made that they too were forced out.”

But they were left out in the cold by the DoD memo issued last week. 

Some estimate there could be tens of thousands of service members who were coerced and threatened with dishonorable discharge, court martial, removal of benefits, demotion, and more, if they did not take the experimental mRNA clot shot.

Just the News reports that former president Joe Biden’s border policies were a boon for private religious charities associated with the Catholic Church, which collectively received billions in grant money while helping house and resettle migrants.

The funding for these humanitarian programs that came through the Departments of Health and Human Services and Homeland Security as well as the Federal Emergency Management Agency has come under renewed scrutiny by President Trump and his administration, which seeks to reverse years of financial incentives, fraud and abuse. 

Catholic Charities USA, comprised of 168 member agencies across the United States, is one of the largest private recipients of government funding under several immigration-related programs that critics have said allowed the Biden administration to relocate and shelter illegal aliens in the United States. 

According to data from USAspending.gov, Catholic Charities collected more than $2 billion in federal grants over the last four years of the Biden administration, primarily through the Department of Health and Human Services which granted about $1.93 billion for programs. Other agencies, like the Department of Homeland Security and Housing and Urban Development also doled out significant sums, totaling about $156 million and $138 million, respectively.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio plans to meet Russian officials in Saudi Arabia in the coming days for talks aimed at ending the war in Ukraine, US officials say.

According to the BBC, America's top diplomat will be joined by national security adviser Mike Waltz and the US special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.

US special envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg said Washington, Moscow and Kiev would be involved in talks, but Europe was not invited.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kiev had not been invited to the talks in Saudi Arabia.

European leaders have voiced concerns that the US is moving ahead on peace talks with Russia without their participation. Ukraine's European allies will gather in Paris next week for an emergency summit on the war.

Speaking on Saturday, Kellogg said previous negotiations had failed because too many parties had been involved.

Also on Saturday, Rubio spoke to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, where he reaffirmed US President Donald Trump's commitment to finding an end to the conflict in Ukraine, according to state department spokesperson Tammy Bruce.

It followed a phone call between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, when the White House reportedly shocked its European allies by reviving direct contact with Moscow after a freeze of more than three years.

After the call, Trump said negotiations to stop the "ridiculous war" in Ukraine would begin immediately.

The upcoming talks in Saudi Arabia follow tensions at the international Munich Security Conference, where Vice President JD Vance sharply criticized European policy makers on Friday.

Vance affirmed the Trump administration's priority that Europe must “step up in a big way to provide for its own defense.”

That brings us now to our nightly Worldview Report commentary.

The Europeans are freaking out at the prospect of being left out of peace talks with the U.S., Russia and Ukraine.

London, Paris, Brussels and Berlin want a say in how the terms of peace will be drawn between Russia and Ukraine. These countries want equal footing with the U.S. but they want the U.S. to foot the majority of their defense bills. 

With the ascension of the Trump administration, that day is over. Now, they can put up or shut up. Even Ukrainian President Zelensky is prodding them to step up and put their money where their mouth is.

Addressing the Munich conference, Zelensky called for the creation of a new Army of Europe amid rising concern that Washington may no longer come to the continent's aid. In other words, American taxpayers are weary of paying for Europe’s wars.

Zelensky stated:

“We can't rule out the possibility that America might say no to Europe on issues that threaten it.”

The Ukraine leader said per the AP that “three years of full-scale war have proven that we already have the foundation for a united European military force. And now, as we fight this war and lay the groundwork for peace and security, we must build the armed forces of Europe.”

Zelensky claimed that such an army would not replace the NATO alliance but rather it would be “about making Europe’s contribution to our partnership equal to America’s.”

He added:

“A few days ago, President Trump told me about his conversation with Putin. Not once did he mention that America needs Europe at the table. That says a lot. The old days are over when America supported Europe just because it always had.”

Of course, we all knew this day would come, when Europe sought to raise its own continent-wide army. French president Emmanuel Macron has called for that for years. Maybe the time is finally ripe for just such a move. 

Why should the U.S. have to spend so much to provide for Europe’s defense? Europe is filled with wealthy countries. They need to man up. And when they do, they will likely discover that Russia is not interested in conquering them militarily. And that most of what their politicians say in this regard is mere bluster designed to test the limits of U.S. funding of their war aspirations. 

If President Trump plays his cards right, he’ll call the Europeans’ bluff and let’s see where they take this idea of a European Army.
