The JFK Files: Roger Stone Unravels the Conspiracy They Don’t Want You to Know
March 20, 2025
Folks, if you haven’t been paying attention, 80,000 pages of JFK assassination files just dropped, and I had Roger Stone join me on Brannon Howse Live to break it all down. Roger’s the guy who wrote the book I keep in my library, The Man Who Killed Kennedy: The Case Against LBJ. If you haven’t read it, stop what you’re doing and go to themanwhokilledkennedy.com to get a signed copy. Trust me, it’s the quintessential take on what really happened that day in Dallas. So, what’s in these files? Are we finally getting the truth? Let’s dive in.
First off, Roger’s not buying that this is everything. He told me straight up: not all the documents have been released. The order from President Trump only covers what’s in the JFK Assassination Document Archive, but there’s more—buried in the State Department, Defense Department, FBI, CIA, even the IRS. Roger’s been saying from the jump that this release would just cement what he’s known all along: the Central Intelligence Agency was neck-deep in JFK’s murder, and the real mastermind was Lyndon Baines Johnson. That’s right—LBJ, the guy who had everything to gain and nothing to lose.
Roger laid it out like this: LBJ was drowning in corruption scandals—the Bobby Baker mess and the Billy Sol Estes fraud. Bobby Kennedy was breathing down his neck, ready to prosecute him and dump him from the ’64 ticket. Johnson pushed JFK to go to Dallas, insisted the motorcade roll through Dealey Plaza—against Secret Service rules—and made sure that limo came to a full stop. That’s not coincidence; that’s a setup. And these new files? Roger says they’re loaded to pin it all on Lee Harvey Oswald, the patsy who couldn’t even shoot straight.
Take this nugget from the dump: Oswald was a poor shot when he tried target firing in the USSR. Yet we’re supposed to believe he nailed those impossible shots from the Texas School Book Depository? Roger’s not having it. He’s convinced the real shooter was Malcolm “Mac” Wallace, LBJ’s hired gun. Wallace’s fingerprints were on the windowsill and boxes up there, eyewitnesses saw a guy matching his description—not Oswald’s—fleeing the scene, and a bombshell audio from Billy Sol Estes’ grandson has LBJ’s top operative, Cliff Carter, admitting Wallace was the triggerman. Oswald? He’s got no powder burns, no nitrate residue—nothing to show he fired a shot. Roger says it’s physically impossible for him to have done it, especially since a cop spotted him sipping a Coke in the second-floor cafeteria minutes after the shooting.
But here’s where it gets wilder. The files show the CIA was tracking Oswald 59 days before the hit, and earlier releases gave us his FBI 1099—proof he was an intelligence asset. Roger says Oswald went to a CIA language school in North Carolina to learn Russian, defected to the USSR, then waltzed back into the U.S. like it was nothing. That doesn’t happen unless you’re working for Uncle Sam. Roger’s theory? Oswald thought he was in Dallas to stop an assassination, not take the fall for one. “I’m a patsy,” he said when they dragged him out. Roger believes him.
Then there’s Gary Underhill Jr., a CIA insider who bolted from D.C. the day after JFK was killed, told a friend a rogue clique in the agency did it, and six months later turned up dead—shot behind the left ear, ruled a suicide, even though he was right-handed. Convenient, right? And how about Alan Belmont, assistant FBI director, wondering in ’64 if Oswald and Jack Ruby were in cahoots—only for pages of that interview to vanish? Roger says missing docs—like a chat between LBJ and CIA chief John McCloy—prove they’re still hiding the good stuff.
These files, folks, are a mix of truth and smoke. Roger’s skeptical they’d keep anything that blows the Oswald narrative apart—why not shred it after 63 years? But crumbs slip through: the Parkland doctors saw wounds proving shots came from the front and back—multiple shooters, a conspiracy. J. Edgar Hoover told LBJ the KGB pegged Johnson as the ringleader. And don’t forget George H.W. Bush, in Dallas that day, claiming he couldn’t recall where he was. Roger’s not saying Bush pulled the trigger, but those fishy moves raise eyebrows.
So, are more files coming? Roger thinks so, but he’s not holding his breath for a smoking gun. He’s sticking to his guns—his book’s thesis that LBJ, with CIA and mob help, orchestrated it all still stands. The 80,000 pages? We’re barely scratching the surface, and the search tools are a mess. Roger’s digging, but he’s not sure we’ll know more than we do now. Get his book, though—paperback’s got extra chapters—and hear it from the man himself on his new gig at 77 WABC, 8-9 PM weekdays, 3-5 PM Sundays, at wabcradio.com.
This isn’t just history—it’s a warning. The same deep state pulling strings then is still at it, with judges now trying to handcuff Trump’s administration. Roger calls it “judges gone wild,” overstepping their bounds to block deportations and more. Kash Patel says some folks won’t be happy when all this comes out—maybe Bush’s kin or others tied to the plot. Stay tuned.
