The Marxist War on Fathers: Undermining the Family to Destroy Church and Government

Folks, we’re in a spiritual and cultural battle, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. For two days now on Worldview Radio, we’ve been unpacking how the Marxists—yes, the cultural Marxists—have set their sights on the God-ordained institution of the family, and specifically the role of fathers, to dismantle the other two institutions God created: civil government and the New Testament church. Today, I want to zero in on why fathers are the lynchpin in this fight and how the enemy knows that taking them down means taking it all down.

Let’s start with the big picture. God created three institutions: the family, civil government, and the church. The family is the incubator—it’s where godly leadership is forged, where biblical values are passed down, where men and women learn their God-ordained roles. Destroy the family, and you’ve got a straight shot at corrupting government and neutering the church. That’s the Marxist playbook, and they’ve been running it since the Frankfurt School landed in America in 1933. They said it out loud: go after education, go after media, and above all, go after the patriarchal society. Replace it with a matriarchal one. Label men as toxic, authoritarian, fascist—you name it. Sound familiar? It should, because it’s everywhere today.

Look at what they’ve done to fathers. Theodore Adorno, one of those Frankfurt School Marxists, wrote The Authoritarian Personality in 1950. He said if a man stands firm on absolute truth, if he’s patriotic, if he won’t compromise on right and wrong, he’s got a problem. He’s a fascist. They even cooked up the F-scale test—F for fascist—to label men who wouldn’t bend. Fast forward to today, and the American Psychological Association is calling it “toxic masculinity.” Same game, new name. Men like John Wayne, Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump—guys with conviction—are painted as the enemy. Why? Because strong fathers protect the family, and the family feeds godly leadership into government and church. Take out the father, and the whole system collapses.

The data backs this up, even from secular sources. Psychology websites—not Christian ones, mind you—admit that weak fathers leave kids insecure and directionless. A lack of boundaries from a father figure leads to chaos in child development. Kids without strong dads are two to three times more likely to drop out of high school, have a baby as a teenager, or end up in juvenile detention. The Family Matters website cites stats showing 71% of high school dropouts come from fatherless homes. Ninety percent of homeless and runaway kids? Fatherless. Over half of kids with single moms live in poverty—five to six times the rate of kids with both parents. And get this: kids from low-income two-parent homes outperform kids from high-income single-parent homes. Almost twice as many high achievers come from two-parent families. You want to kill capitalism? Destroy the father. You’ll get fewer entrepreneurs, fewer risk-takers, fewer success stories.

Why does this matter to the Marxists? Because a broken family feeds their agenda. Dropouts swell the welfare rolls—collapsing the economy so they can nationalize everything. Teen pregnancies boost Planned Parenthood’s bottom line (tune into my Worldview Report tonight to hear about their executives’ obscene salaries). Juvenile delinquents fill the prison industrial complex—big government and big business raking in taxpayer dollars. It’s communitarianism, not capitalism. And who suffers? The kids. The culture. The nation.

The Bible’s clear on this. Exodus 20:12 says, “Honor your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land.” Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 13:1: “A wise son accepts his father’s discipline.” Over and over, Scripture elevates the father’s role—discipline, leadership, provision. Even psychologists know kids need dads to set boundaries and teach emotional regulation. Fathers stress competition, initiative, risk-taking—traits that build capitalists, not socialists. Marriage and kids civilize men, teaching prudence, honesty, and self-sacrifice. Take that away, and you’ve got a generation of weak, aimless boys who can’t lead a family, let alone a church or a nation.

But the Marxists have infiltrated. They’ve pushed no-fault divorce, turned TV dads into buffoons—think Ozzie and Harriet to The Simpsons—and convinced women they don’t need men. A 2009 Baby Talk Magazine survey said 76% of married women liked the idea of not fighting with a husband over parenting, and 55% of single moms felt relieved not to work on a marriage. Is that propaganda or reality? I’d love to get Rasmussen to poll it, but if it’s true, it’s a tragedy. Women like my wife, Melissa, see through this. She’s got zero respect for weak men—calls them pansies. She married me because she knew I’d provide, protect, lead. That’s what women with common sense want: security, conviction, strength.

Callers on the show nailed it. Lily from Arizona, married 45 years, raised five kids—entrepreneurs, all following the Lord. She saw the feminist movement and the “demasculation” of men wreck a generation. Peter from Arizona, a dad of three, said kids teach you how selfish you are—God uses fatherhood to refine us. Chris, though, shared a heartbreak: he feels Christian women overlook guys like him—slower, no college degree—for the high-skill entrepreneurs. I told him the culture’s obsession with degrees is crumbling. Young people with debt and no jobs are waking women up. Hang in there, Chris.

Here’s the bottom line: the Marxists know if they can take out fathers, they can take out the family. Without the family, government becomes a godless mess, and churches turn into social clubs peddling a social gospel instead of the biblical one. That’s why I wrote Marxianity. We’ve got a deficit of strong, moral, godly, patriotic male leadership because the family’s been compromised. Men are silent, intimidated, or absent. But we can fight back—honor fathers, rebuild families, and reclaim our institutions for God’s glory.
