Good evening and welcome to the Worldview Report.

President Trump signed an executive order Thursday calling for the shutdown of the U.S. Department of Education, advancing a key campaign promise.

Trump has blasted the Department of Education as wasteful and polluted by far-left ideology that most Americans find abhorrent. However, finalizing its dismantling is likely impossible without an act of Congress, which created the department in 1979.

A White House fact sheet said the order would direct Secretary Linda McMahon “to take all necessary steps to facilitate the closure (of) the Department of Education and return education authority to the States, while continuing to ensure the effective and uninterrupted delivery of services, programs, and benefits on which Americans rely.”

Trump's Republican administration has already been gutting the agency. Its workforce is being slashed in half, and there have been deep cuts to the Office for Civil Rights and the Institute of Education Sciences, which gathers data on the nation’s academic progress.

Of course, their definition of progress has no relationship to actual education parameters such as proficiency in reading, writing and mathematics skills.

Since the establishment of the Department of Education in 1979, the proficiency of American students in these critical areas has plummeted relative to other countries.

And yet, according to the fake-news Associated Press, the teachers’ unions and other “advocates for public schools” said “eliminating the department would leave children behind in an American education system that is fundamentally unequal.”

The AP cited the National Parents Union saying:

“This isn’t fixing education. It’s making sure millions of children never get a fair shot. And we’re not about to let that happen without a fight.”

So, like everything else President Trump has tried to accomplish, we can expect this to get struck down in the courts almost immediately. If a president can’t deport violent illegal-alien gang members, how is he going to shut down an entire federal agency?

Next up, we have some good news to report, for a change.

Shawn Carney of 40 Days for Life reports that Planned Parenthood has announced plans to CLOSE its flagship abortion facility of the United States in the heart of Manhattan, where his group has held 40 Days for Life vigils since 2013.

40 Days for Life encourages people to simply pray outside of their local abortion clinics. 

In an article for LifeNews Carney writes:

“This is not the result of politics; abortion is celebrated as a sacrament in New York. This is a testament to the power of prayer, fasting, and peaceful vigil.”

This is the most pro-abortion city in America, if not the world. Folks, this is a stunning development.

Carney said he believes such victories are why the demand for 40 Days for Life is at an all-time high in post-Roe America, adding:

“They also show why half of all the abortion facilities that have closed following a 40 Days for Life campaign are in blue, pro-abortion states where abortion is celebrated. This mission really is about hearts and minds, and if we trust God, He will use us to end abortion anywhere.”

An FBI agent who was once the handler for tech billionaire Peter Thiel, and who later criticized the bureau for allegedly suppressing investigations into ties between Rudy Giuliani and Russian intelligence assets, was arrested this week on charges of illegally disclosing classified information, according to court records filed Tuesday.

Johnathan Buma, who has worked for the FBI for 15 years, allegedly printed copies of confidential FBI documents and messages and later shared the material with associates as part of a draft of a book he was writing about foreign weapons of mass destruction during his time at the bureau.

Buma was arrested Monday at a departure gate at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York as he was waiting to board an international flight, court records show. He was released a short time after a court hearing on a $100,000 bond while awaiting further proceedings in a California court.

Buma exposed Hunter Biden’s actions with Burisma, claiming the real FBI story during the Trump and Biden years differs from the GOP narrative. 

In January 2019, Buma brought sources to DOJ prosecutors, pushing the narrative that Hunter's work with Burisma was illegal and linking George Soros to money laundering. 

According to the New York Post, a DOJ Inspector General report reveals three senior officials leaked confidential investigative details to the media in an apparent attempt to harm Trump just days before the election. 

The leaks, violating DOJ confidentiality policies, have been flagged for potential Hatch Act violations and misconduct investigations. These officials left the DOJ before the probe began and refused to cooperate.

MSNBC analyst and former Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill has long been criticized for unhinged rhetoric. 

That was evident on the Morning Joe recently when McCaskill said the deportation of alleged Venezuelan gang members was akin to Vladimir Putin “disappearing” people. 

It is not the first such analogy by McCaskill, notes legal analyst Jonathan Turley, as she has called those opposing censorship under the Biden administration “Putin lovers.” 

McCaskill’s comments have been echoed by others on the left, even before the election.

On ABC’s The View, Whoopi Goldberg told viewers how Trump is already committed to being a dictator who will “put you people away … take all the journalists … take all the gay folks … move you all around and disappear you.”

It’s obvious what they’re doing. This is an attempt to further radicalize the left and get them to become even more violent than they already are. Despicable.

A 31-year-old married woman, who previously worked as a teacher at multiple schools in Indiana, has been accused of sexually assaulting teenagers and forcing minors to have group sex while wearing so-called Scream masks.

According to News 8, 31-year-old Brittany Fortinberry faces 29 charges related to child sex crimes against minor students. The outlet reported that Fortinberry allegedly had group sex with multiple teenage victims after providing them with drugs. The former teacher has also been accused of forcing the teenagers to wear Scream masks during group sex.

News 8 reported that Fortinberry was arrested in February and remains in Indiana’s Morgan County Jail on $150,000 bail.

WTHR reported that Fortinberry was a substitute teacher for the Metropolitan School District of Martinsville from October of 2023 to January of 2024. Fortinberry was later employed as a teacher at Eminence Community Schools from July to August of 2024, when she was suspended after law enforcement officials launched an investigation into the teacher over “inappropriate conduct toward two students.”

According to The Post Millennial, two students accused the teacher of sending them explicit messages and images of herself. In December, Fortinberry was accused of molesting a minor on multiple occasions, leading to the teacher’s arrest in February.

The Post Millennial reported that five additional victims have come forward since Fortinberry’s arrest in February. One 14-year-old boy claimed the 31-year-old teacher bought him and other boys expensive gifts, vapes, weed, and dinners in exchange for sexual favors.

A new report published by the Ministry of National Defense of Taiwan warns that support from the United States is absolutely essential to the country’s deterrence against an attack from Communist China.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the Ministry of National Defense of Taiwan recently released its Quadrennial Defense Review, emphasizing the need for support from the United States with regard to reconnaissance and intelligence, U.S. support for long-range precision strikes, and continued purchases of U.S. military hardware.

The Journal reported that the Quadrennial Defense Review, which outlines various policies during the first year of each new presidential administration, said, “The U.S. is a crucial strategic partner, working closely with us on military cooperation and helping to boost our self-defense capabilities.”

According to the Journal article, this year’s Quadrennial Defense Review marked the first time the Ministry of National Defense of Taiwan dedicated an entire section of the document to the relationship between Taiwan and the U.S. military.

The recent Review indicates that Taiwan’s military strategy of deterring China in multiple ways remains largely the same. But the Journal noted that the Review suggested that China’s capabilities, such as advances in the use of drone warfare and cyber warfare, have changed.

Russia has reiterated to the Trump administration its key demands for a Ukraine ceasefire agreement ahead of next week’s second round of talks in Saudi Arabia.

These include a halt to all U.S. military aid and intelligence sharing with Kiev, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday.

Earlier this week, Vladimir Putin and President Trump held a lengthy phone call to discuss the Ukraine conflict, during which the Russian president listed a number of conditions for а diplomatic resolution of the crisis. 

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Zakharova reiterated that the demand to stop military support for Ukraine is “a fundamental point for a political and diplomatic settlement,” and said Moscow hopes that the U.S. has heard Russia’s position on the matter.

Following his public spat with Vladimir Zelensky in the White House earlier this month, Trump temporarily halted all U.S. military support for Ukraine and cut off intelligence sharing with Kiev. 

However, Team Trump announced it would reverse the decision after a meeting between U.S. and Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia, where Kiev agreed to a 30-day ceasefire with Russia.

As of Tuesday, the Pentagon confirmed that all U.S. military aid to Ukraine and intelligence sharing had been “turned back on.”

Zakharova criticized the move, stressing that U.S. weapons deliveries to Ukraine “run counter to the declared intentions to achieve peace and move everything into the mainstream of a political and diplomatic settlement.”

She added that:

“Whoever wants peace will, naturally, advocate for an end to the militarization of the terrorist gang,” referring to Zelensky’s government in Kiev.

Moscow consented to a month-long mutual suspension of strikes on energy infrastructure. Kiev agreed to also halt strikes on energy facilities deep inside Russia.

Yet, on Wednesday, Moscow accused Kiev of violating the agreement by targeting an energy facility in Russia with a drone bombardment.

The Trump administration on Wednesday warned the state of Maine that it will face consequences if it continues to flout President Trump’s executive order barring males from playing on female sports teams.

The acting director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (OCR) issued a statement to Fox News that reads:

“What HHS is asking of the Maine Department of Education, the Maine Principals’ Association, and Greely High School is simple – protect female athletes’ rights. Girls deserve girls-only sports without male competitors. And if Maine won’t come to the table to voluntarily comply with Title IX, HHS will enforce Title IX to the fullest extent permitted by the law.”

This comes after HHS on Monday announced the Maine Department of Education, the Maine Principals’ Association, and Greely High School have each violated Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities receiving federal funding.

HHS launched its compliance review after a transgender-identifying boy claimed the victory in the Maine Class B championship for the Greely High School girls’ track and field team in February. The high school boy was allowed to perform on the girls’ team, despite Trump’s executive order. Following Trump’s order, Maine officials publicly said they would not comply with the order, siding with transgender-identifying males over women and girls. 

HHS sent a letter to the three entities offering them the opportunity to voluntarily comply within 10 days with Title IX “or risk referral to the U.S. Department of Justice for appropriate action.”

Federal prosecutors have charged three individuals with carrying out violent attacks against Tesla properties, describing their actions as acts of “domestic terrorism.” The suspects allegedly used Molotov cocktails to set fire to Tesla dealerships, vehicles and charging stations in multiple states.

Attorney General Pamela Bondi announced the charges Thursday, vowing harsh consequences for anyone involved in similar attacks.

While the FBI investigates far-left terrorist attacks against Tesla dealerships, supercharging networks, and vehicles, Pam Bondi says she’s coming after not just the thugs at the street level but those who provide the funding.

She need look no further than George Soros.

The radical Soros-funded nonprofit Indivisible is reportedly preparing to launch a multi-city offensive against Tesla in the coming days.

Starbuck reports “over the next few days you're going to see an organized progressional protest effort at Tesla stores put together by a group called Indivisible. George Soros’s foundation has given Indivisible nearly $8 million dollars for their so-called activism. Let’s call it what it is. Terrorism.

They're calling these terrorist operations "Tesla takedown events” and Starbuck says they're doing it in the midst of a domestic terror spree targeting Tesla and Tesla owners nationwide.

Starbuck asks:

“How can this not be seen as encouraging more violence and terrorism? I personally think that any violence occurring near locations they've chosen should result in Soros, his foundation, Indivisible and their founders being held criminally accountable as co-conspirators.”

The indivisible founders are Ezra Levin and his wife Leah Greenberg. They became resistance figures during Trump's first term and their work is routinely celebrated by elected Democrats. 

There's reportedly even a form protest leaders can fill out to receive reimbursement payments for their protests. This proves they are terrorists for hire.

With receipts like this, one has to wonder: Why isn’t Soros being investigated and indicted on criminal charges of racketeering? He has essentially created an army of well-funded mobsters willing to use violence against the property of Americans he doesn’t like.

If we lived in a serious country, this kind of criminal enterprise would not be allowed to organize and thrive.

It’s time for Attorney General Pam Bondi to put up or shut up.
