Good evening and welcome to the Worldview Report.

Leading off tonight, President Trump was expected to sign two executive orders Monday prohibiting transgender service members and eliminating Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs from the military, The New York Post reports.

Trump had signed an order on his first day in office revoking the Biden administration’s 2021 directive that allowed trans people to serve openly in the military, but the incoming EOs will go further.

They lay out military standards on pronouns and gender identity and will ban thousands of transgender service members from the military, citing issues with mental and physical readiness.

The Department of Defense is directed to make and implement the policy after Trump signs the order.

“Unit cohesion requires high levels of integrity and stability among service members,” a White House document previewing the order on transgender soldiers reads.

The document further states that there can be “no accommodation for anything less than resilience, strength, and the ability to withstand extraordinary physical demands. Individuals who are unable to meet these requirements are unable to serve in the military. This has been the case for decades.”

“It can take a minimum of 12 months for an individual to complete treatments after transition surgery, which often involves the use of heavy narcotics. During this period, they are not physically capable of meeting military readiness requirements and require ongoing medical care. This is not conducive for deployment or other readiness requirements.”

There are no current accounts of how many transgender service members are on active or reserve duty, but estimates from 2014 suggested there are as many as 15,500.

Stocks opened the week sharply lower, with chip and other stocks tied to artificial intelligence suffering a rout.

The reason? China’s AI startup model, called DeepSeek, was released and it is performing shockingly well, raising concerns about AI-related spending among competitors in the U.S.

Western tech giants like chip-maker Nvidia saw shares fall 17% in a single day. U.S. technology companies lost more than $1 trillion in total value on Monday.

Western governments and companies assumed China was years behind in terms of its computer chips and AI.

But the Chinese firm’s new AI assistant came out on January 20 and competes very well against OpenAI’s ChatGPT and other popular programs. It outsmarted ChatGPT and crushed Meta’s models. It also has less expensive chips and requires less data than its rivals. And the cherry on top is that it’s all open-sourced and freely available to the public.

Barron’s reports that DeepSeek has led some to question America’s dominance in the AI race.

Venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, who has been advising President Donald Trump, described DeepSeek as AI’s Sputnik moment, referring to the Russian launch of the first artificial Earth satellite.

Andreessen posted to X:

“DeepSeek R1 is one of the most amazing and impressive breakthroughs I’ve ever seen. And, as open source, a profound gift to the world.”

According to Barron’s, the AI trade has clearly suffered a blow heading into a key stretch of Big Tech earnings this week.

Republican Louisiana Senator John Kennedy said Monday that Director of National Intelligence (DNI) nominee Tulsi Gabbard is likely in the most danger of not getting confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

Gabbard has criticized the U.S. government for handing over billions of dollars to Ukraine and accused the “power elite” of risking Americans’ safety for the benefit of Ukrainians. The nominee has come under scrutiny from Democrats, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, for challenging the status quo on the Russia-Ukraine war and have publicly accused her of being a Russian asset and a threat to national security.

A handful of Republican senators whose campaigns have received money from the defense industry could possibly oppose Gabbard’s nomination due to her opposition to the U.S. spending over $200 billion since the beginning of the ongoing Ukraine war and the national security apparatus’ spying powers.

A committee widely cited in the media as opposing the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Secretary of Health and Human Services turns out to be a Bill Gates-backed fraudulent organization that accepts fake signatories.

The so-called Committee to Protect Health Care, cited as an authority by NBC News and other mainstream media outlets, published an open letter declaring that doctors are “appalled by Donald Trump’s reckless decision” to appoint Kennedy. Thousands are said to have signed.

However, as reported by Breitbart News, this organization has no vetting process for signatories. 

Breitbart was able to sign up as Dr. Donald Duck, OG, of Disney World, FL, specializing in podiatry. The anti-Kennedy petition simply accepts any signature from anyone.

Others have tried the same experiment, including fitness influencer Jillian Michaels and broadcaster Alex Jones.

Vice President JD Vance appeared Sunday on CBS News Face the Nation and absolutely destroyed Margaret Brennan’s false narrative about how well the U.S. government vets foreign refugees arriving from Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, Somalia and other nations that hate us.

Brennan loaded up her question with a string of lies about how “heavily vetted” refugees are before they arrive on U.S. soil. The truth is that many of them are not vetted at all. Why? Because it’s impossible to vet someone who shows up at a United Nations refugee camp with no papers, no ID, nothing. You just ask them some questions and take their answers at face value. That’s the long and short of the vaunted U.S. vetting process, and Vance set this fake-news journalist straight.

Disney actor Selena Gomez on Monday posted, and then deleted, a video of herself on Instagram sobbing uncontrollably as she reacts to President Donald Trump's deportations of criminal illegal aliens.

Gomez, 32, says through tears, with a Mexican flag emoji visible:

“I just want to say that I'm so sorry. All my people are getting attacked. The children, they don't understand. I'm so sorry I wish I could do something, but I can't. I don't know what to do. I'll try everything, I promise.”

Facing apparent backlash, she later shared another message on her Instagram Story, writing, “Apparently it's not ok to show empathy for people.”

Among those slamming the former Disney star is Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA, who said on X:

“’My people?’ Aren't you American?

“Where was the sobbing over the 100,000 Americans dead from fentanyl poisoning? Where were these tears over the 340,000 children who went missing after being trafficked over our border? Why wasn't there a breakdown for Rachel Nungary, Rachel Morin, or Laken Riley? I guess those Americans weren't ‘your people?’”

Trump's Border Czar Tom Homan appeared on television Monday to react to the Gomez meltdown.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is providing biotech company Moderna with $590 million to accelerate the development of a new mRNA vaccine to combat H5N1 bird flu.

The government grant comes amid an outbreak of fear-based media reports regarding bird flu, the latest of which includes a case in Georgia where poultry sales have been halted after the virus was detected in the state.

According to an HSS press release issued on January 17:

“The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will provide approximately $590 million to Moderna to accelerate the development of mRNA-based pandemic influenza vaccines and enhance mRNA platform capabilities so that the U.S. is better prepared to respond to other emerging infectious diseases.”

The release goes on to state that:

“The award was made through the Rapid Response Partnership Vehicle (RRPV) Consortium with funding from the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), part of the HHS Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR).”

This funding allows Moderna to accelerate development of an H5N1 mRNA influenza vaccine that, according to the press release, “is well matched to strains currently circulating in cows and birds and expands the clinical data supporting the use of mRNA vaccines that may be needed if other influenza strains emerge with pandemic potential.”

Interestingly, on the same day the HHS press release was issued, January 17th, the Georgia Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the detection of a positive case of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in a commercial poultry facility in Elbert County, the first one in the poultry-rich state of Georgia and the fifth case reported nationwide at the time.

Newsweek reports that Russia has claimed that European NATO member states are planning to deploy 100,000 peacekeeper troops in Ukraine as part of its plan to prepare Kyiv for revenge.

The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) believes several NATO countries will “occupy Ukraine under the guise of deploying a ‘peacekeeping contingent’ in the country,” it said in a recent press release.

No evidence has been provided for this claim and, for what it’s worth, former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said last year that the alliance had “no intention of deploying forces in Ukraine.”

The Russian intel service said NATO wants to freeze the conflict in Ukraine amid the “conditions of the obvious lack of prospects for inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield.”

It believes NATO countries are hoping for a temporary ceasefire agreement, which they would use to mobilize and train at least a million Ukrainians for battle and “restore the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.”

The Russian intelligence organization further states:

“The West considers the implementation of such a scenario as an opportunity to restore the combat capability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and thoroughly prepare Kyiv for an attempt at revenge. NATO headquarters understands that without providing the Ukrainian Armed Forces with sufficient weapons and ammunition, the expectation that the Ukrainians will be able to conduct high-intensity combat operations over a long period of time is unrealistic.”

The Russian organization argued that the plan to occupy Ukraine would be the West's way of “solving these problems.”

Soccer fans are in mourning following the tragic news that Anthony Basso has died suddenly and unexpectedly

The French soccer star was just 45 years old.

The goalkeeper began his career at a young age, and joined Scottish club Heart of Midlothian in August 2007.

The Frenchman also spent two years with the Edinburgh team.

Basso was fondly remembered worldwide by fans across social media.

No cause of death has been provided.

Time now for our nightly Worldview Report commentary.

Slay News reports that pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has been ordered to pay almost $60 million in fines over a kickback scheme that paid doctors to push drugs onto their patients.

The fines are a resolution to accusations that a company Pfizer acquired paid doctors to prescribe a migraine medication.

The medication is marketed as Nurtec ODT.

The drug was endorsed in a wave of television commercials featuring celebrities Whoopi Goldberg and Lady Gaga.

The kickback scheme took place from March 1, 2020, until September 30, 2022, and was orchestrated by Biohaven Pharmaceutical Holding, which owned the drug at the time.

Pfizer acquired Biohaven in October of 2022.

A Pfizer spokesperson said:

“The settlement relates to alleged conduct at Biohaven before Pfizer acquired the company in October 2022 and does not include any admission of liability or wrongdoing.”

Prosecutors allege the kickback scheme involved Biohaven providing doctors with “improper remuneration” in the form of speaker payments.

Doctors also received high-end meals at expensive restaurants as the company sought to get the physicians to prescribe Nurtec.

The kickbacks stopped when Pfizer ended Biohaven’s Nurtec speaker program.

However, there are lingering questions of whether this is the only instance of doctors receiving payment to prescribe a particular medication.

Given the amount of revenue and profit generated by Pfizer during the pandemic, it raises concerns over the company’s kickback schemes to promote the Covid mRNA jabs.

As reported in an April 2023 Substack piece, Pfizer quietly financed groups to lobby for Covid shot mandates and the use of its mRNA injections.

Pfizer doled out money throughout the United States to consumer groups, doctors, medical groups, civil rights organizations, and public health organizations.

Again, it looks like the U.S. Department of Justice used one standard to judge Covid shots and another for all other medications. When it came to the mRNA shots, all laws and regulations governing what is considered acceptable and ethical practices were waived.

That’s what government by emergency looks like.

And look where it’s gotten us. With millions dead and millions more permanently disabled.
